This year the “sea” in Yalta will warm up a month earlier – the open Olympic-size swimming pool of the Yalta Hotel with heated sea water is to start its work in March already. So, be the first to open the season!

Hotel Yalta ready to take in guests from Austria

From 12 to 14 January the Yalta Hotel took part in Ferienmesse-2012 Wien, the leading tourism trade fair in Austria, as part of the Crimean delegation. During the visit, they discussed a bright outlook for Austrian pensioners to have a rest in the Crimea in 2013-14.
The discussed project is to last five weeks. At a time the Crimea will host 1,500 people with full board and 5 excursions at least. The Yalta Hotel is regarded as the main host side.

24 kg gingerbread dough
5 kg egg white cream
3 kg cookies
A lot of patience

This is the recipe of Gingerbread Village kindly given to us by confectioners of the Yalta Hotel. This year they as usual decorated the lobby by this symbol of Christmas and New Year.
Real gingerbread dough remains soft for a long time. It is cooked with addition of honey without sugar and artificial leaven. Real gingerbread dough contains only butter and no margarine.
Those who wish to create their own gingerbread house are to pass 10 stages ranging from design to decoration. Whether it be a humble country house or a magnificent palace will depend on you and your fantasy.

DESPRO draws up results at Yalta Hotel

From 13 to 15 December the Yalta Hotel was the venue for the annual meeting of the Swiss-Ukrainian Decentralization Support Project in Ukraine (DESPRO). 150 delegates gathered together to discuss the project’s performance in 2011.
DESPRO aims at improving communal water supply and social services through a broader involvement of local communities and citizens’ associations. It covers the national level, Crimea as well as Vinnytsya and Sumy regions.

The Yalta Hotel has been awarded with a national prize “Hospitality Awards 2011” as the best economy class hotel of Ukraine. All conditions for a good rest and efficient work moderately priced – this is the motto of the winner in this nomination.
Hospitality Awards is the most desired prize awarded in Ukraine for achievements in the field of hospitality. According to its organizers, for Ukrainian hotels it is to become as prestigious as Oscar for cinematography.
13 experts of hotel and restaurant business made up the jury; nominations and evaluation criteria were designed by Ernst & Young to fit the Ukrainian market.

European Cup of Modern Dance

On 1-4 December the Yalta Hotel hosted the Modern Dance Championship of Ukraine, the European Cup of Modern Dance and the International Street Dance Festival. In addition, those who wished could enjoy master classes in hip-hop, disco, disco freestyle, funky, techno, and house. These dancing events brought together about 6,000 participants from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Italy, the USA, Israel, Jordan, Serbia, Spain, and the UK.

The Yalta Hotel was ranked first in the best hotel competition held by the Tourism Academy of Ukraine. Besides this high award, the Hotel obtained a member certificate of the Academy. The best hotel status is a high hurdle always set by the Yalta Hotel.

On 3-4 November, the Yalta Hotel was the venue for a corporate event of one of the largest banks in Ukraine – UkrSibbank BNP Paribas Group. The event which lasted for two days brought together 500 employees. The sufficient number of conference halls allowed to hold up to 20 meetings simultaneously.
