At the Hotel “Yalta” the Olympic size pool was opened

On May, 23 at the hotel complex “Yalta-Intourist” a solemn opening of the unique in Crimea Olympic size pool ceremony with the warmed up sea water was held. In the process of updating the pool  new systems of filtration and flowing of sea water (water from the bottom of the Black sea is «out-distanced» upwards by system of communications on distance of  1 km) were set, replacement of the internal finishing of the pool’s bowl was produced, an attached to the pool area was ennobled, children's pool was built anew.

 Area of pool: 50m x 22 m
 Depth: 130m x 210m
 Transition from sea to fresh water is produced within 72 hours
 Preparation of pool to the sporting competitions (setting of sporting inventory) takes 8 hours    Temperature of water in a pool is whole-yearly supported within the limits of 26-30 degrees.

Among the honored guests, present  at the solemn opening of pool ceremony, there were  President of the National Olympic committee of Ukraine Sergey Nazarovich Bubka, President of Federation of swimming of Ukraine Oleg Alexejevich Demin, Chairman of committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on questions of family, youth policy, sport and tourism  Paul Ivan Kostenko, fourfold Olympic champion Yana Klochkova, world champion, champion of Europe, frequent possessor of world cup on swimming Denis Silant'ev, minister of resorts and tourism AR Crimea Andrey Anatol'evich Sumtsov , representatives of organizations, participating in the reconstruction of the pool and its financing: Chairman of directors’ board  of companies «ATM» and Manager of the Yalta branch “Pivdenniy” bank..
 A ceremony was opened by the general director of Hotel “Yalta” Alexander Radukan. He thanked partners of “Yalta-Intourist” which helped to carry out the complete reconstruction of the pool,  hoped on that “Yalta-pool” would extend trainings possibilities of the Ukrainian sportsmen, because during many years in HC “Yalta-Intourist” it was conducted trainings of national and Olympic  teams on swimming.
Sergey Nazarovich Bubka marked that opening of “Yalta-pool” «indeed is a large holiday». As to S.N. Bubka’s opinion the Ukrainian sportsmen need the swimming pools indeed, and opening of the Olympic size pool in Yalta will enable to restart trainings in Crimea.
The honored right to cut a symbolic ribbon together with the general director of Hotel Complex «Yalta-Intourist»  Alexander Radukanom was given to Yana Klochkova and Denis Silant'ev, to the Ukrainian sportsmen glorifying our country for the whole world
At the end of solemn opening ceremony all present expected a pleasant surprise is a bright, original laser mega-series-show on water, with participation the combined team of Ukraine on the synchronous swimming and festive fireworks.
